Role Description
The incumbent is accountable for the operational success of the business through direct support to the CEO. Represents the CEO on a variety of forums and attends key meetings on behalf of the CEO and is required to serve on various committees. With support from the Logistics, Key Accounts and Sales manager(s), drives specific strategic initiatives with respect to Customers. Co-ordinates and manages the annual strategy formulation, business planning and budgeting process for the business. The incumbent is accountable, together with the CEO, for the execution of the Business plan. Analyses and reviews business performance against plan and recommends corrective actions. Ensure maximization and efficiency of current operations.
Assist functional heads in implementing operational plans. Reviews and ensures that IT technology supports the delivery of the business strategy. Plans design and leads project teams to improve current operations. The incumbent is accountable for SLA's between companies / third parties to ensure scale and cost benefits. Manage the successful execution of strategic projects in collaboration with other executives. The incumbent is also responsible for all operations in compliance with goals, policies and objectives established by the CEO and the Board of Directors. Directs, coordinates and administers all aspects of business operations. Develop policies that encompass all or some areas of the business operations.
The efficient, economical, and profitable running of the Logistics part of the business by planning, organizing, systematizing, directing, coordinating, reporting and budgeting.
Qualifications & Experience
A business Commercial degree or similar qualification required
Logistics qualification added advantage
5-10 years experience in a Logistics environment
Experience in the Waste Management Sector will be an added advantage
Advanced computer literacy
Technical experience will be an advantage
More than 10 years’ experience in a Managerial position
Analytical and strategic skills are required as will operate on the MANCO level
Specific Objectives

Defines performance parameters (incl. balanced scorecard) and measurements for area of responsibility.
Develops policies that encompass all or some areas of the business operations.
